This. Is. Happening.

Standing in the baBenin Logock of the room, eyes closed, soaking in the worship around me, I hear it. The still small voice, “This. Is. Happening.” A picture of Africa flashes across my min. “Oh ya,I leave in about a month” I tell myself. Then a panic rises up from my belly to my chest, “This. Is. Happening.”

I am really getting on a plane and flying to Africa. I bravely handed over my deposit months ago and have been somewhat preparing ever since. I’ve attended team meetings, prayed over each member, and started my devotional. We’ve talked about, dreamt about what it will be like and have gone over the logistics. I’m not new to missions, this will be my fourth. “This one is different,” I was told by the still small voice, “be prepared.” More panic rising. This. Is. Happening.

I need you. Yes, you. The one reading this post. Please pray for me and my team. We are 5 strong and we need your prayers. Even if praying isn’t your thing, we need your prayers. I would love to tell you exactly what to pray for like safety, unity, divine appointments, provision. Those are all very needed prayers, and pray for more. Ask God to provide what we need, when we need it.

“Why would I do that?” I know you are asking, I can hear you. I will tell you. When you make yourself, even a small part of yourself, involved in someone else’s journey, you will be blessed. You invest a piece of your spirit and I get to take it with me. Your prayer comes with me and it will change someone’s life forever. I’ve seen it happen. You become part of something so much bigger than you can even ask or imagine. If you’d like to know more about our trip, please ask. I’d love to tell you more!

Oh, Yes. This. Is. Happening. I’m not going alone.
