Ten years ago a separation and eventual divorce rocked my world and changed my perspective on relationships with others and myself. I have also found tremendous peace and comfort in learning about God, his Son Jesus, and the powers of the Holy Spirit. One of the most valuable lessons God and I have walked through together is how to let go of my need for approval and become my most authentic self.
I believe Authenticity Over Approval can be within reach for you too, with three powerful tools; Truth, Trust, Territory. Here at Authenticity Over Approval Blog, you will find resources, encouragement, and a trusted companion to guide you – your Heavenly Father. Living authentically gives you the freedom to love and be loved in a most profound way.
I truly hope to convey that my circumstances are no different from yours. I am no more deserving of God’s blessings than you are. Let’s figure this out together, hands clasped, looking to heaven and braving Authenticity Over Approval.
I’m going through a divorce right now.
I could do with some encouragement.
Hi Maureen, I’m so sorry you are going through this very difficult time. Jesus offers the best words of encouragement. I spend every morning reading from the pages of the one who loves me most. Please know you aren’t alone and you are loved by a might God who calls you his daughter.
God bless!
Thank you so much. I do appreciate your words of encouragement.
Maureen.
Do you think reconciliation after divorce is possible…can someone forgive someone after a troubled marriage and cheating?
Humanly speaking, it’s impossible! But there’s nothing impossible for God to do. It can only take God and a lot of work from both parties to make it work.
In my case, I was badly hurt both physically and mentally, which also has a trickle effect on my 2 young children. The youngest being one.
I can get through this with God’s help.
